Villa Baracoa includes two hotels "el Castillo" and "Puerto Santo " both located close to Baracoa Town and to the historical sandy beach touched by the expedition of Cristopher Columbus .From the hotels you can tour to the mountains, the plantations of cacao and coffee and also the beautifoul beaches .The hotel does reserve the right to place reservation according to availability in both hotels.Hotel El Castillo with 34 rooms is located in the city of Baracoa - the first village founded in Cuba by the Spanish conquistadors - and is housed in the fortress of Seboruco de Santa Barbara, which was built by the Spaniards in colonial times. The road access to the hotel is by itself an attraction for visitors, since it has to be done by La Farola, an ascending spiral road built during the first half of the 1960’s, with 11 hanging bridges whose maximum height is located at a place known as Altos de Cotilla (Cotilla Heights), 600 hundred meters above the sea level. Hotel Gaviota Porto Santo is located next to Baracoa Bay in a small and private beach where, according to legends, Christopher Columbus planted the famous Cruz de Parra, considered the oldest religious object conserved from the Spanish presence in America. Hotel has 60 rooms and its best feature is a large swimming pool with a deck and thatched-roof bar overlooking the bay, downtown Baracoa and cute private cove beach.
